All Purpose Salve
This salve, as the name states, truly is all-purpose — assisting in skin healing for cuts, scrapes, minor wounds, burns, and skin irritations. It is nice to have this gentle, but powerful salve on hand - I keep one in the kitchen (as that seems to be where I injury myself most with cuts and burns!) and one in our first aid kit.

This salve combines three powerhouse vulnerary (skin-healing) herbs, including calendula, whose involucre (the green sticky structure under the flower head) is famous for its wound-healing and tissue-repairing actions + comfrey, who is an ally in skin repair especially for bruises and minor wounds + fresh Saint John's wort whose flowers help heal wounds and reduce scarring (among many other things!).
Ingredients: organic olive oil, beeswax, dried comfrey (Symphytum officinale), dried calendula (Calendula officinalis), fresh st. john's wort (Hypericum perforatum), organic lavender essential oil
All ingredients are sustainably grown in my garden, foraged or sourced
**Note: comfrey is so powerful in healing the top layer of skin it is important to never use this salve on an open wound so as not to encourage top layer skin regeneration until the under layers have been healed.
